DGI does not give "golf lessons." DGI specializes in "golf performance training." What is the difference?
Golf Lessons:
The traditional golf instruction model includes going to see your golf professional every so often for a golf lesson. The focus is entirely on where the golf club swings and how the ball flight reacts to it. In order to improve results, the golf instructor gives the golfer a swing thought that might last for one or two rounds. Typically, golfers go for a lesson when they are not playing well. This is a big problem because in this scenario the golfer is not in a state to learn and develop as a golfer, they are merely in the "fix me" mode.
Golf Performance Training:
Instead of filling the golfers head with swing thoughts, DGI looks to make permanent changes with all of their players by training the body to consistently perform at a higher level. This is called golf motor programming. This is the polar opposite of a traditional golf lesson.
