The DGI High School Organized Practice Program is designed for all competitive High School players and eight graders preparing for their high school debut. We've designed this program to provide a structured practice routine. The idea is to provide three hours of quality guided practice per week. Players will learn "how" to practice efficiently, so they can then transfer those skills over to their own practice sessions—and get the most out of them.
We often find that the biggest speed bump in a junior player's progress is either not practicing enough—or not practicing the right way. All golfers need to understand how to maximize their productivity when practicing. Especially competitive players at the high school and collegiate levels. This organized program gives DGI coaches the opportunity to have their eyes on the players and frequently check-in with them, and reinforcing what they work on in their private sessions. This time is not intended to replace their private training, but to re-enforce the quality fundamentals and practice habits that this level of player needs.
Deerfield Golf Club and Learning Center has outstanding practice facilities where the DGI coaches can guide the players through drills and routines in every area of the game. A specific drill workbook will be provided to all players, featuring all drills and activities learned in the program, and helping to assist them in tracking their progress. Each class is 90 minutes long, twice per week, and all range balls are also included in the program price.
