Junior Travel Golf
About the Team
DGI’s competitive golfers compete on the Deerfield Junior Travel Team as one of six participating teams in The North Shore Junior Tour. The NSJT is a competitive junior golf program designed for players’ grades 5-8. DGI golfers will train as a team on a weekly basis, and then compete against other participating teams in the north shore area on Mondays throughout the summer. This league allows young players to compete on a regular basis, preparing them for future tournament play and high school golf. For those looking to be introduced to competitive play for the first time, or those who need to take their game to the next level, the North Shore Junior Tour provides a structured playing field to allow for each golfer’s development.
Training
The DGI-Deerfield Team will conduct group and private training sessions at the Deerfield Club and Learning Center. Group training sessions will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting June 1st from 4:00 - 5:00pm. We will emphasize proper practice habits and routines in the weekly group training. In addition to team training sessions, each individual player will schedule a weekly semi-private session with one of their teammates to focus on individual needs.

Pricing
- Full 10 week program: $1,195
- (Program price includes: 20 hours or group training, 8 semi-private lessons, team shirt, tournament greens fees, facility cost, and range balls.)

All events will have an approximate noon start time, except for the August 2nd event which will be an 8:30 AM start time. Players will be sent out in approximate order of arrival. Events on July 12th and August 2nd will be full field events with all 6 participating teams. The other dates will have two hosting sites with three teams competing at each site. Our teams’ specific destinations will be announced at a later date.
