During our comprehensive evaluation each individual is run through a golf-specific physical assessment to understand exactly what physical attributes they have at that time. As Certified Golf Fitness Instructors by the Titleist Performance Institute, we follow the same physical screening process used at TPI. Following the assessment, we utilize the TPI integrated web tool to email each golfer the results of their physical tests. This email summarizes all of this physical data and presents a realistic golf fitness handicap index to the golfer. Their data will be accompanied with tour averages as reference points. During a DGI physical screen we will test mobility, stability, power, coordination, and likelihood of injuries. This process allows us to set objective, realistic short- and long-term goals for improvement in the golf fitness handicap.
Following the initial DGI physical diagnostic, we use the TPI website to develop a personalized web page for each client. This page will allow our clients to access their customized golf-specific workout program from anywhere. It allows us to update their specific workout as often as we need to.
Each golfers workout will be different. The exercises are specifically designed to address the physical limitations that are found during the assessment. This workout program can either be completed at home, at the health club, or at our training center. Many of the exercises can be performed with minimal equipment. Every five to six weeks the golfer is reevaluated and their workout program is appropriately modified.
