We developed a customized training program for each individual golfer based on the specific goals that that player has. In some cases a program will be more heavily developed around fitness, and in some cases it will be more focused on instruction and motor learning. This all depends on the individual golfer and where their game is relative to their goals.
Like the game of golf our training programs adjust over time. If we are doing our job and you are doing your job as a client, your skills and body will constantly be changing which means your training program will need to change as well.
Golfers who work with another instructor
DGI often trains players that are receiving instruction from another instructor. In these situations our role at DGI is strictly the golf fitness specialist. We will communicate regularly with your instructor so that we understand exactly what they are trying to accomplish with you. Our fitness training will be directly affected by the teaching style of your coach. Research shows that different types of swings require the body to work in different ways.
This team approach is highly effective, and is used by touring professionals.
